For more than 20 years, Paolo’s has been bringing the taste of Italy to Kent. Paul Raftis founded the restaurant after growing up learning to cook along side his mother, Darlene Raftis. He enjoys the open kitchen he can chat with guests as he works. He never tires of hearing "It smells so good in here!" As a marathoner, he is living proof that that you can eat Italian and be healthy. In fact, one of his signature dishes, "Fettucine Paolo" was featured in Runner's World magazine. Anthony’s Home Port in Des Moines is a regular for us. This time we were joined by another couple to enjoy a fine meal and each other’s company. Anthony’s never disappoints. Great location with an iconic marina and Puget Sound view. Staff are always knowledgeable and accommodating. For me, the friendly staff makes it easy to return. They have a great menu and the food is always prepared and presented well. Anthony’s is reasonably priced and a good value. The tables are roomy and the ambiance is great for conversation.

Wonderful atmosphere, beautiful scenery, attentive staff. There was an error with one of our dishes, but it was delicious anyway and didn’t take away from the experience. This is a hidden gem, very close to the airport, but tucked away in the trees so it feels a world away. I will definitely go back, soon.
