This dining experience was really good , the service great friendly and staff are there if you need advise , the food flavours and presentation first class , we have a son who is a very good chef , so we understand food and its flavours, so we can be a little picky , highly recommended to anyone who loves food . Tried The Longstore after it was recommended by a colleague. First impression was great, a large woodburner keeping it warm, comfortable chairs and a very nice staff. Although the music was to our taste, it was a tiny bit too loud but they happily turned it down a notch on request. The food was outstanding. We had scallops to start, then Rib Eye steak. I asked to have an extra salad rather than the bits that came with the steak and I must say it was the most delicious salad I have ever had and a massive portion too! I hardly ever tip, but today they got a well deserved 10%. Definitely going back!

As always, we eat here pre theatre, never anything less than brilliant, it’s without doubt the best place to eat in Truro.

We really enjoyed a festive meal at WAX today. I love Watergate Bay and parking was free as it was out of season...bonus...nice beach walk with dog...bonus...then on to WAX where staff were friendly, food was scrumptious and atmosphere warm and welcoming x thank you, we are looking forward to our next visit xXx
