The overall experience at the restaurant was a positive. Beginning with our waitress, seat location by the open fire,and ending with the food. We all had seafood dishes and were loved by all. The quality and quantity was excellent. Upon finishing our entree, all of us had dessert which exceeded our expectations. We will definitely return and I certainly would recommend or bring friend or family on our next visit.

It was Christmas Eve and what could be better than dining at the Publick House? Nothing! We were greeted warmly by the hostess and other staff members. The Christmas lights twinkled and the poinsettias gleamed as we walked through the beautifully decorated halls to our table. The bread basket was filled with corn bread and the delicious pecan rolls! The menu was diverse offering some specials for the evening. Turkey Dinner, Chicken Pot Pie and Prime Rib dinners all fantastic! Desserts yummy too! If you have a special event this is the place to go. Even for a lovely evening out any time of the year including lunch...you will not be disappointed!

The food was generally outstanding. We had bourbon steak tips and Gorgonzola steak tips and both were delicious. The nachos, which came out much too close to the main dishes, were lacking enough toppings for the chips. We left half. Service was friendly if a tad slow. And with the live music - which was very good - it was very noisy in there, making it hard to chat. Overall, though, we enjoyed and will return.
