In 1983, after the success of La Calle Doce, Oscar and Laura Sanchez wanted to open another restaurant but they didn’t want to duplicate their previous success nor did they want to open just another Tex-Mex restaurant. Oscar wanted something that wasn’t found in Dallas, something that reminded him of home. Since both Oscar and Laura are from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon in Northern Mexico, they decided to open a restaurant that specialized in Comida Norteño (northern food) and Tex-Mex featuring dishes such as cabrito, mollejas, and asado de puerco. Today El Ranchito is known for it’s authentic Mexican food, freshly made tortillas and festive atmosphere where mariachis play daily. These elements – the food, the music and the friendly staff – have helped El Ranchito achieve it’s ultimate goal of creating an atmosphere where the customer feels as if they are back home in Monterrey.

Blind Bishop is a modern wine bar and restaurant nestled in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas. Our wine list is curated by Sommelier/Owner Dilek Caner, who is currently the only Master of Wine in Texas. For the last twenty years, Dilek has trained many sommeliers and wine directors in New York City and Dallas. We are open from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Saturdays. During these hours, we offer a rotating selection of 16 by-the-glass options available in 1 oz, 3 oz, or 5 oz pours and serve a bar menu.     A New Neighborhood Favorite! Pillar Bistro exceeded all expectations. The service was exceptional from start to finis. To kick it off the Zero Degrees martini and espresso martini we had at the bar was the perfect start to the evening. The Hamachi and Apple and Beef Tartare were fresh and flavorful, the Grilled Leeks had a rich, smoky depth, and the Fried Chicken was perfectly crispy and delicious . We finished with the Coconut Cream Pie, which cannot be skipped. Pillar is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood and easily one of the best restaurants in Dallas. Highly recommend! Already can’t wait to go back.

    Congratulation to Jon Stevens and his team on being named a Recommended Restaurant by the MICHELIN Guide 2024 for Texas. Since my first dinner here, I have always thought that everything about Stock & Barrel is exceptional - the food, the service, the atmosphere. We had another great meal last night and I look forward to many more.
