Rappahannock Oyster Co, the owner of the Rappahannock restaurant in historic downtown Richmond (and five others), was instrumental in the revitalization of the Chesapeake Bay oyster industry over the past two decades. Those incredible local oysters are now the stars of the restaurant’s huge raw bar, yet just part of its bigger celebration of the goodness of locally grown food. Further, Rappahannock is part of the statewide Virginia Green initiative.
