Chef Tim Love’s flagship restaurant, Lonesome Dove Western Bistro first opened in 2000, in Fort Worth’s Historic Stockyards District, and quickly became the city’s premiere dining establishment. Love has designed a menu influenced by all of the ingredients and cultures that have been a part of the West since the first adventure began on the Goodnight-Loving and Chisholm Trails — with an added level of modern sophistication. Love’s food at Lonesome Dove reflects his famously unique “Urban Western” cuisine, celebrating his creative uses of bold flavors and wild game, with an inventive selection of steaks and seafood to dishes such as Wagyu Tomahawk, Kangaroo Carpaccio, Rocky Mountain Elk Ribeye, Wild Boar Ribs, and Rabbit & Rattlesnake Sausage.                                       Great experience with great food. Had the Bison ribeye which was delicious, and my girlfriend had the elk which was also delicious. Would highly recommended

                                      It was a family outing and it was a wonderful experience. None of us had ever been there before and we were not disappointed! It was great!

                                      Service was excellent as always. They were out of their redfish at 6 pm on a Friday. Not sure who does the ordering and planning but being sold out already was very disappointing. The servers and hostess were great as always. They made up for the lack of menu items.

                                      Food brought to table at wrong time and included one wrong plate. Meant for other table next to us but left with us. Required additional confirmation of our order with someone other than our server and eventually figured out the table behind us was supposed to receive the food. In the end, it was no big deal but the soup left for my wife ended up cold because it was brought too early and we ended up with an additional salad.

                                      Menu was too complex for a holiday. Waiter was absolutely clueless. No offer to refill drinks from bar. Took over an hour to get our food while we watched others come and go. We were a party of 6, three couples. When tickets finally came all were incorrect. It took 4 different times to get tickets correct. Totally underwhelming and will not return.
