A taste of Tuscany and local treasure that is simply delicious. For over three decades, Luceti's has served Italian cuisine created by world class chef and awarded San Franciscan, Roger Bertola. Founder of the legendary Doro's, Ruggero's and master chef of Fior and the Iron Horse. Mr. Bertola was also the personal chef to generals Eisenhower and Paton. Today, Luceti's owners carry on the same tradition and cuisine that was started by Dr. Ron Luceti in 1984. Luceti's is a great place for private parties and business meetings.

                                                                                                                                    The local Italian joint … I use those words with great affection. You walk in and you’re family. You know what you’re here for- delicious cocktails, good homemade Italian fare, and a relaxed, unpretentious good time. The escargot and polenta are great. The veal dishes are all solid. The pastas are in house made sauces. Sit back, relax, have a great espresso martini and enjoy.

                                                                                                                                    Luceti's is a neighborhood Italian gem whose footprint is rapidly disappearing in our towns and cities. Great food, friendly staff, patrons and guests are like the neighbors you never had. Did I mention great service. They've got it all! My family says the Gelato is worth the trip alone. I agree.                                                                                                                                     We love dining at this San Mateo, CA location. Wednesday 6:45pm reservation. Stopped in their well stocked bar for a drink before dinner for a whisky and Mai Tai. I drink Mai Tais everywhere and this was a good one but could have used just a little more dark rum. Generously sized drinks and a friendly bartender. Three diners for a birthday celebration. Two of us split a Caesar salad which is always good. Focaccia style bread was included. Main choices were veal saltimbocca, tortellini Alfredo and chicken Jerusalem. All excellent. Our main server and all who delivered meals were efficient and friendly. Spumoni ice cream with a candle was delivered for dessert, complete with candle and singing! We all actually ordered desserts-crème caramel, bread pudding and chocolate mousse. All great! My only suggestion on celebration dessert would be to see if the special guest is ordering dessert and put a candle in that so that you don’t waste spumoni ice cream on someone who prefers their own dessert choice. I should also mention how friendly and attentive the hostess was to us. We had a wonderful time.
