I experienced the worst service at this restaurant and will not be returning in the future. I had a reservation for 330pm and showed up early around 3pm and the host told me the restaurant closed at 4pm and I said ok it's 3pm so is there a problem? He didn't answer and sat me at a table. It was awkward. There were about 7 tables with guests dining at this time and more people were being seated after I was seated. The server told me I needed to make a decision quickly for what I wanted to order because they were closing (it was 3:05pm at this time). I was not served the Neiman Marcus popover. The $30 Veuve champagne I ordered was served in a large wine glass and was flat. I had to ask another server why I was not served a popover but other tables were getting popovers sent to their tables. I was then served a popover after being there for 40 minutes. The staff was not friendly, continued to rush me when they weren't closing for an hour. I was so annoyed with the lack of service and only ordered the truffle fries and champagne. I should have left at the moment the host was giving me a hard time when I checked in. The entire experienced killed my mood actually. This is unfortunate because I'm a loyal Neiman Marcus customer and have been a regular at this store's restaurant for the last 15 years. If you don't want guests to dine after a certain time, then any reservations after 3pm should be disabled. This Neiman Marcus restaurant location needs to go through some serious training. Other locations are nothing like this.

Everything was delightful, as usual, with just a couple of missteps. Our popovers were too well done (still delicious). Our server delivered lovely service, but she was clearly the only person working, so there were long periods where we didn't hear from her.

The experience started off well with a nice table by the window and a friendly hostess, but it quickly went downhill. The table and menus were dirty. The service was horrible. Extremely slow and/or non-existent. Food was decent.

This was an exceptionally lovely visit. The noise level was minimal so that we could converse comfortably and there is plenty of space between tables so you don't feel like you are sitting in on someone else's luncheon table. I had an injured leg and the staff went out of their way to accommodate me with appropriate seating. They didn't rush our service so that we could have a leisurely and fun time celebrating 3 birthdays and great family memories. Of course the complimentary cup of broth and warm popover at the start of our meal was much appreciated and a delicious appetizer. My entree of salmon nicoise salad was perfect, including the hard boiled egg (which is very difficult to make perfect). My cousin and sister's tuna melts arrived hot and the french fries were excellent. The waiter was on hand throughout our meal to refresh coffee. Our dessert carrot cake with a birthday candle was moist and perfect. The hostess came over and offered to take a picture which just added to the festivities. All in all we were made to feel special and very pampered! Well done - to the chef, hostess and waiter. We truly enjoyed our time at The Mariposa.
