THE MARIPOSA located on Level 3 of Neiman Marcus ALA MOANA greets you to a panoramic view of the Ala Moana Beach Park located directly across. Enjoy seating in our Dining Room, or on the Lanai.

Mariposa Restaurant boasts a spectacular ocean view and extraordinary cuisine from Executive Chef Lance Kosaka.

Find your favorite menu items plus new selections too. Open daily for Lunch: Sunday 11am - 4:30pm (last seating), Monday - Saturday 11am - 3:00pm (last seating)

Our Sunset Lounge Menu is offered Thursday 5pm -7:30pm, Friday 5pm - 7:30pm & Saturday 5pm - 7:30pm (last seating)

Enjoy a commanding view of the Friday Night Fireworks display from any seat in the Restaurant or on the Lanai.

The food and ambiance is always terrific here. From the complimentary popovers and the seasoned butter accompaniment and the warm chicken consomme before the meal begins to dessert, it's always a good meal. Also the location with the comfy, clean, spacious bathroom inside of Neiman Marcus is a nice feature of this location too! Service was prompt, courteous and the server that was doling out the popovers was so friendly and had great customer service. I don't get to eat here often but usually end up here around the Christmas holidays and today's lunch didn't disappoint.

We chose as usual to eat on the lanai with its lovely view toward Ala Moana beach. The fresh popovers were wonderful (again) and our dinners were delicious. On that evening, the day after Thanksgiving, they seemed a little short-staffed, but everyone was nice and working hard to make our Mariposa experience a good one.

Ease of check in with receptionist, we requested last minute to have our table moved outside to watch the last glimmer of sunset and we were indulged by our host help. Would is always impeccable especially with the pop over to start. Cocktails came in quickly, our server Andrea and her assistant was on point. Plus factor, the ever constant smile on their faces.

We had an amazing view from an outside table, the food was excellent. Service staff were lovely, however we didn’t have knives on table and had to ask for them twice, and ultimately grabbed them from a set table next to us. When we wrapped up and headed inside to exit we saw and heard that there was live music, it would have been great for the outside tables to also enjoy this music.

Scallops were good if a little too much butter sauce, not quite enough mashed potatoes. Ahi salad and salmon salad very delicious, crab pasta good but a little too much curry or whatever spice it was. Popovers were served when we sat down but we had to ask for the broth. Birthday dish of 3 kinds of gelato was very good as was the box of warm Neiman Marcus’s chocolate chip cookies. I love the plantation punch, 3 kinds of juice, as well as MaiTai.

Casual elegance with a view that says “You are in Hawaii!” Menu & food quality are well-done. Service is friendly & attentive. This is not a cheap experience but after all - it’s Nieman Marcus!
