This is our 6th year having Christmas Day dinner at Mason Street Grill. We love the tradition and know the food will be good! What we struggle with is the average service. Our server was lovely and professional but so busy that we did not get a drink for 30 minutes after we were seated. and we sort of just waited awkwardly waiting for someone to come by. We gave her our full order, drinks, appetizers and dinner as we didn't know when we may see her again. We asked if she could bring some bread over and she said, "sure I can bring some if you'd like.". It's a bit odd that it isn't just done at this type of fine dining spot. Last year was a bit of the same so we may need to alter our long-standing tradition as a $300 dinner should dribbly be a little more special than this.

Lobster Thermidor and wedge salad were excellent. Recommend reserving at the counter overlooking food prep area as they give a couple free goodies if you sit there. Also, if you stay at the Pfister Hotel, you don’t even need to go outside to access the restaurant.

We arrived for the Christmas Eve dinner special only to be told there was a marketing error and the dinner special was unavailable—even though it was still on their website. It was disappointing but we ordered off the regular menu and the food was great. Service was a bit slow, it took 90 minutes even though we ordered our salad and entrees at the same time we received our drinks.

Third try and less than impressed. Omelet was dry. No toast with an egg breakfast entree was odd? Also no gluten free bread option is strange for a better hotel restaurant?? Service was awkwardly slow.
