During this time Matisse will continue to offer our pickup and delivery options. Starting March 30th, our restaurant will operate 6 days a week, Tuesday through Sunday.

To ensure availability please make your reservations now.

To continue to safely serve you, and hopefully provide some comfort and deliciousness to your home. Matisse will continue offer curbside pickup from the hours of 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday; from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM Friday and Saturday.

Orders can be placed over the phone by reaching us at (202) 244-5222 or ubereats and doordash for delivery.

I have always enjoyed the food at Matisse but lately I’ve been really disappointed by the noise level in both the front and back rooms and even at the bar in the middle. The noise is so loud it disrupts the enjoyment of the experience. It also seems that they have added tables in the front which requires the waiters to constantly move around the tables in a way that is distracting and uncomfortable. The food remains delicious although the bread only comes toasted and is so dry/stale that one risks cutting gums by biting into it. I am reluctant to return.

One of my secret favorites which is also open on Sunday evenings. Last night the menu and food were excellent and our waiter superb! Kristian was attentive and very polite. I have been going there off and on for many years, but last night was exceptional in every way! Hats off to the chef, too❣️👍👏👏

The service at Matisse is superior to so many upscale restaurants in DC. Everyone on the staff is welcoming and well-informed. Their list of daily specials, including wine specials, are exceptional values and always delicious. If you see the duck confit spring rolls as an appetizer special, don’t miss it! We also ate delicious rockfish and steak frites. Always reliable and lovely evening.

One of our regular restaurants in-rotation. We have been dining here for 7-8 years, two or three times a year. It is always a charming experience. The staff is warm and engaging. The baguettes are always hot and crispy. The food at Matisse is always very good. On this visit, the standout course was my wife’s mushroom fettuccine. No cream sauce, instead the sauce was a rich and tasty ragout/reduction of mushrooms, with truffle oil to finish. This was the winner!
