Led by chef and owner Hector Diaz, Modesto features a farm to table approach to upscale wood-fired Italian. The menu changes twice daily and includes a variety of fresh seafood, fine meats, and house made pastas. Pizzas are hand-tossed and cooked in a wood fired oven made in Italy. To compliment your meal, our bar offers over 30 exclusively Italian wines as well as a dynamic list of classic and cutting edge cocktails. Desserts are made from scratch, including our famous tiramisu, and we proudly serve SRO Coffee.

Excellent food and service. The chef continues to raise the bar on creative a culinary dishes. Restaurant is also very accommodating for guests with food allergies.

My wife loved her lobster dinner. I had the wild mushroom pasta and thought it was brilliant.

We visited Asheville to support them after devastation that was Helene. We dined at the bar, and Mike made our evening as enjoyable as one could ever hope to have. Food and service were 5 stars. Given what they had been though, witnessing their resilience first hand gave us hope that they would come back even stronger...you can count on our support, always ~ Thank you

Seated right on time per reservation. Our waitress, Evelyn, was personable and efficient. We shared a gorganzola and pear salad which was easily enough for two people and followed it with a veal chop and pork chop, both excellent. Only criticism would be that the risotto accompanying the pork chop was small and more a side dish in size instead of a bed for the chop. Food and service more than made up for that minor point

Only a few tables in this small restaurant and 3 chairs at the bar, but the food and service was really, really good! Exceptional!

The food and service are incredible! There isn't an obvious place to see a hostess/host when you get there so you just kind of stand by the door while you wait for the hostess/host to come to you and that was awkward but the food and service make us forget about that pretty quickly. I got the mussels as my starter and my husband got the meatballs and they were both outstanding. For my main, I had the Ciopinno and my husband got the Bistro Steak and both were amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly and the servings were huge. It was my birthday dinner and they gave me a free Tiramisu for dessert and it was also wonderful. My pear martini was delicious and my husband had a beer. His only comment was that they didn't have any local beers on tap but the restaurant had plenty of wine and cocktail options and I assume most folks aren't having beer with their dinner. Our server, Darren, was very attentive and answered all our questions, he was great! It was comfortable and very yummy and I'm excited to go back again!

We eat at Modesto regularly. Modesto consistently serves interesting, high quality meals. Their menu has a lot of variety. The staff are wonderful. It's a very pleasant place to have a delicious meal.

Dillon did a fabulous job as our server. The place is tiny but comfortable. The portions are too big which makes them somewhat unappetizing. The mussels were very tasty but the roasted romaine salad was overly dressed with oil. The bread, like a pita, was wonderful.
