One of the best restaurants in Maryland is located just two miles from I-95 exit 74 at Mountain Branch Golf Course - 20 minutes from Baltimore.
Constructed out of three acres of Oregon’s finest Douglas Fir, the historic-looking timber-pegged post and beam structure has high ceilings, multilevel architecture and a magnificent view. The Grille & Pub at Mountain Branch is a favorite for relaxing after a round of golf and is an ever-popular destination for lunch, dinner and late night. Spacious patios afford dining al fresco when the weather is mild. And when winter winds are blowing, a large fireplace keeps the inside warm and cozy. The American-classic menu offers a diverse mix of tastes, including soups, salads, and sandwiches as well as fresh fish, crab cakes and Angus beef.                                                                                                                                   We had a great meal and the service was perfect. We had Brussel sprouts for appetizers, outstanding! For entrees we had short rib tortellini, salmon and seared tuna. Each meal was cooked to perfection. To end the night we shared a gelato ball dessert. Highly recommended this restaurant!!!

                                                                                                                                  The char grilled oysters appetizer were outstanding! (Even got a pearl) The almond encrusted grouper was amazing as well. Cooked to perfection. I was hoping for a more interesting rice pilaf other than just white rice though. The Chicken Chesapeake was incredible as well. Grilled chicken breast with a full crab cake on top. Delicious!!

Last night I ordered a filet medium and it came out well done. My wife ordered a baked potato with her meal and it was cold. There was a large party and the restaurant was a little busy. Need to pay attention to cook times and bring out hot and filet cooked properly.

                                                                                                                                  What we (the three of us) did not like was the fact that we wanted some rolls or bread served and asked three times to the waitress. After our food arrived we asked again. What was brought out to us were 2 burned rolls for the three of us. Considering the price of the food, I am sure the management can supply rolls.

                                                                                                                                  The food here is very good. We've gone here to celebrate small occasions, and it always feels special. We went here for Restaurant Week and had the special $39 meal which I thought was a great deal considering the quality of the food and its preparation. Highly recommend the caveman short rib--it was fantastic! It was pretty packed the Saturday night that we went. We made reservations, but had to wait about 15 min for our table. I take that as a good sign that this place is well-loved. We had drinks at the bar while we waited.
