In 2017 Holly and Ali moved down to Plymouth for a new life away from London. Passion for all things pizza and years of hospitality life brought about Knead pizza.Starting in Plymouth market and honing our skills to try and work out our perfect pizza. We moved into The LHA garden in 2019 due to that thing we wont mention and started cooking with flame. We got ever closer to cracking and adapting the truest of neopolitan style dough into a perfectly soft, neo neapolitan light and flavoursome crust.Now after a stroke of luck we’ve moved to the amazing Prysten House 1498. It’s one of the oldest buildings in Plymouth built by Thomas Yogge, with a real Tuscan villa vibe and courtyard, Grade 1 listed and also the inspiration for Yogge our new pizza pal.

The dome-shaped venue on the Hoe, aptly named The Dome, was designed by architect Tony Irish. The Dome was first opened in July 1988 as part of Mayflower commemorations in Plymouth and started life as a local museum and tourist information centre.Designed to have the Art Deco feel and opulence of a 1930s ocean liner, the venue’s bar will feature an extensive wine and gin list, a selection of cocktails plus a full range of beers, ciders and soft drinks.The restaurant’s menu will feature fresh, local and seasonal produce and will include fish sourced from local day boats. We will also be offering traditional afternoon teas.There will be opportunities for private dining, small weddings and business meetings – all set against a spectacular ocean view backdrop!

Created Tom Hill and Clare Lattin of Ducksoup in Soho and Little Duck in Hackney, Emilia is their version of a small Italian Osteria (transported to the Devonshire countryside) serving seasonal, everyday Italian inspired dishes using locally grown ingredients.     We had a double date with our friends at Knead Pizza! It was very nice - we loved the food and the atmosphere! We also loved being able to have our friends’ dog with us at dinner! The only confusing part was that one of the waitresses we talked to wasn’t aware of a promotion that was happening at the restaurant, however that was quickly resolved when we showed proof that the promotion is still applicable for us.

    Waiter and waitress were lovely. However restaurant completely ignored my booking request for trying to make my friends 70th birthday special. Even ringing me to say there wasn’t anything they could do would have shown more care than nothing. It’s clear they don’t read it , so no point putting the option there for this restaurant.

    ,having been out walking in the area we wanted to have a meal after our walk , but finish our walk about 16:00 gave us very little options, so we were glad to find this pub ,it catered for various dietary options and severed food all day on a Sunday, food was good service prompt.
