We went for a drink at the bar after, and although the lighting was nice and ambient, the music left a lot to be desired. It was like a 90s disco, and not in a good way! The food was good, and nicely presented; we couldn’t really fault it, apart from perhaps a bit too much salt in everything, but it lacked the wow factor that would have made it special. The place was beautifully decorated for the pending Christmas Season and I was particularly taken by the new Christmas Cushions. We even had a chuckle with staff over whether I could get away with taking one home under my jumper! Keep up the good work and The Punch Bowl is definitely our go to place when we have friends staying as well as for other special occasions.
