Great food and service with a good guest beer. The inn was packed for a Thursday night with every table taken. Great atmosphere and a real log fire to relax by.

Food was amazing, staff were attentive, excellent all round, would definitely visit again if we’re in the area!

My first visit to The Hive. Lovely greeting by the guy behind the bar. The upstairs restaurant area was lovely and quiet. The meal was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The beef was tender and vegetables cooked to perfection. I had dessert, although could only just manage it after the main meal. The servers couldn't have been more friendly and attentive. Absolute bargain, soft drink, Sunday roast, Berry Sundae and coffee for £34. Highly recommend The Hive.

Due to graduation at the University everywhere was fully booked. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us( party of 5 with 2 having mobility issues). Food was good value for money and was prompt. Would visit again
