I go to North regularly a couple of times a month for the past three years and I’ve never been so disappointed in the service that I was provided tonight. North is typically one of the places I value with having excellent service and excellent food but this evening was terrible. We did not get silverware when our appetizer arrived. Getting a drink was incredibly difficult, ordering food and having the correct food presented was challenging and then when it came to dessert, we had to ask for the menu rather than be presented it when it was a birthday. The server was clearly distracted. I’m very disappointed that the happy hour red wine bottle, we couldn’t pay extra to get it during the normal menu either. The happy hour red was not available in a glass or a bottle after happy hour times. Disappointed evening. I’m hoping it’s not indicative of a poor change.

This has been one of our favorite spots for 5+ years. This time left us feeling like the cost didn't justify the food/drinks/experience. Specifically ordered drinks that were not delivered, then charged for, then had to ask to be removed. Food portions were smaller due to restaurant week. Left hungry and didn't get drinks we wanted and still paid well over $120 before tip.

Had a 6:30 reservation for dinner on Sunday, the last day of restaurant week. There were four of us, two ordered from the restaurant week menu, including myself. I ordered the burrata, pork Milanese, and citrus olive oil cake. Things started going downhill from there. A few minutes after we all placed our orders, the waiter informs me they were out of the burrata. I switched to the meatballs. They were tasty, but lukewarm. I was then informed they were out of the pork Milanese, so I had the squid ink pasta. It was just okay. My friends did enjoy their Bolognese and Tuscan half chicken. For dessert, the waiter told my friend they were out of the Italian donuts, so she got the cake as those were the only 2 options on the restaurant week menu. As we were eating our desserts, I see a waitress carry two plates of the donuts. I flagged down a server and asked why we were told they were out of them. He talks to a manager about it and she comes to our table and says they have 2 donuts (her exact words) and asks if we want them. We said yes. After she left, we debated whether she meant 2 orders of donuts (8 total) or just 2 donuts as they were supposedly out of them. Our waiter confirmed it was 2 orders, so we said thanks, but we didn't want them now as there was no way we could eat all of them after all the food we've eaten. All of this is to say I suspect they were holding back items until after restaurant week so they could charge more for them individually, rather than as part of a set menu.

Food and service was great. However got seated next to sliding glass doors. Was very cold. Recommend avoiding being seated next to the big windows during winter.

Restaurant Week menu was great! The Burrata and Pear with the balsamic glaze Was crave worthy and the arancini was light and delicate and rich. The Squid Ink pasta had a bite as it should have and the calamari was tender and perfectly cooked alongside the shrimp with the sauce having a slight spice to it. The olive oil cake is always impressive! Our only critique was the Bombolini needed some additional frying time as the dough was not cooked through and pulled like dough when eaten, the custard inside though was lovely, just couldn’t eat the doughy uncooked portion inside. Service was fantastic!

Haven’t been to North in years. My sister goes often. The ambiance was gorgeous. Service was above and beyond and food was perfection.

The appetizers and desserts were excellent. The main courses were average - the chicken parm was overdone on the outside (slightly burnt) and the sauce in the bolognese was lacking in flavor and there were a number of noodles stuck together. For this level of restaurant, I would and do expect better execution - especially since the bolognese is marketed as the house specialty.
