Orrery is one of our favourite restaurants. However, the use of three sittings for dinner on New Years Eve created a rather frenetic atmosphere which is the opposite that we usually experience at the restaurant. The food overall was very good but the cheese course did not work - it was too rich and too much. We would recommend instead eliminating that course and offering a free glass of Champagne before the meal. Because the restaurant was so busy, we were not able to get advice on the wine list which was very disappointing. We also felt that the presence of small children spoilt the atmosphere and perhaps it would be better - at least at dinner time - to have a minimum age to dine out, of say 12 or above. The staff were universally friendly and helpful despite the obvious stress caused by the three sittings.

We really enjoyed our meal at Orrery. The waiters were both engaging and friendly. We had the tasting menu, which said it came with a glass of champagne, however, we were never served it. The Dorset crab and beef medallion were the stand out courses. One of the reasons we booked Orrery was because we wanted a cheese trolley and reviews mentioned theirs was amazing. We were disappointed that the cheese course was plated and there was no trolley in sight! While the original tasting menu dessert was not available, the chocolate substitute was nice (and they told us we could have any dessert on their menu if we preferred). Overall, we had a good, fun experience. A few tweaks needed for this to reach the next level.

We have been here more than a few times and The Orrery never fails to amaze. Three perfectly-proportioned courses, accompanied by great wines, delivered by lovely staff. Thoroughly recommended!

We had just gotten married at Marylebone Town Hall and walked to the venue for dinner. There were 7 of us, and we were seated in a semi-private dining area, which I hadn’t even requested—but it turned out to be absolutely perfect. The entire team went above and beyond to make everything flawless. From thoughtfully providing water for my bouquet to offering alcohol-free drink options and every little detail in between, they truly made it a magical evening. The relaxed atmosphere, outstanding food, and exceptional attention to detail created a night we’ll never forget. If you’re looking for an unforgettable and enchanting dining experience, this is the place to go!
