We arrived at 7 for our reservation and didn't receive our food (which we ordered pretty quickly) until nearly 8:30. Our waitress came by the table twice during the entire stay, and there was a strange sort of tension in the air, with a hostess arguing with who I'm assuming was the general manager or owner.

Always a great time with good food and wine. Pasta dishes are amazing and the veal chop melts in your mouth. Nino and the staff are wonderful.

Sadly, we will soon lose one of Washington's finest Italian restaurants soon, due to a greedy landlord. I strongly encourage all DMVers to actively support Osteria da Nino before they close on April 22. GO THERE NOW AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!

One of the best restaurants in Shirlington. The service is impeccable and the food is perfection. Nino runs a rare gem in the DMV.

What a neighborhood gem. !!! You feel like family every time you eat at Osteria. The owners always stop by the table to see how the meal is and to chat.

The owner of the restaurant greeted us at the door. Immediately sat us down and gave a bit of his background. Carlos was our waiter. He was so awesome. He was very informative about the menu. We didn’t wait for anything long. I would definitely recommend this place for freshly prepared authentic Italian cuisine.

I made reservations on the recommendation from a friend. We were celebrating two birthdays, my husband and our godson. I had noted that on the reservation. The service was just okay. Our waiter never came back to check on us. I had to ask a waitress passing by for two glasses of Chianti. I ordered the gnocchi and they were just like my mother's...delicious. The two meatballs alongside the dish could have used more seasoning. The osso buco was just okay as was the steak. The bread and Caesar salad were excellent. I missed having fresh parmesan at the table as well as ground pepper. Overall, it was an okay dinner.
