Oystercatchers is located on the shores of the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. You drive down a winding road into the Ruelle as you approach the illuminated circle drive flanked by palm trees and bright flowerbeds. As you enter the restaurant through the lounge, enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of Old Tampa Bay. With its innovative cocktails and contemporary furniture, the lounge, outside patio and lower bay-level deck provide a comfortable, chic hotspot for locals and visitors alike. Our recent experience was mixed. Service, drinks and appetizers were great. I especially enjoyed the hamachi shooters. The restaurant was very noisy and our main dishes were sub par. My husband ordered the lobster gnocchi and it looked like something you'd get at Olive garden and tasted largely of flour. My scallops were cooked well but the items around them (rice wedges, corn foam, mushroom pieces) added nothing to the dish except an extra charge.

Food was very good. The view is spectacular from the deck. Customer service was excellent. Would return for dinner soon.

Wait staff was great. Some food great, some not so good. Hostess a little rude and very concerned with the 5:30 timing of the dining room and bar opening.

Having used Oystercatchers as a go to for special occasions and entertainment I am sad to say this time was a bit of a disappointment. The menu is wat too limited now and the value price compared to portion size is just not there anymore. Service and ambiance is still outstanding and food presentation is excellent. Sad to say however I will moist not likely be going back.

Our server was amazing! We celebrated our anniversary with a first time visit to this restaurant. Some portions were small for the price. Holiday cocktails were only available outside so that was disappointing. Chef prepared the sea bass to my preference.

Overpriced mediocre food. I ordered the charred octopus which was so awful, I could not take a bite. I had it opt out for the crab cakes which was just as terrible. The main course was the sea bass, that too was unsatisfactory. The appearance of the restaurant could use a boost and the bathrooms are horrendous for the amount they charge for food. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
