Iacomini Family has always been considered the first family of fine & traditional dining in the Akron area. Joe's legacy lives on with the fourth generation of restaurateurs. Judy, his daughter, & her son Jeff, & daughter Kim, continue to try & live up to his standards of excellence. This trio of new culinarians continues to bring you "The Best of Iacomini's" with new dinner menus offered monthly serving Fresh Fish, Center Cut Steaks and a combination of Northern and Southern Italian Cuisines. Papa Joe's has multiple private dining rooms with seating up to 65 guests. Tuesday through Sunday afternoons we can accommodate even larger parties. Off-site catering is offered 6 days a week for any venue of your choice. To-go service and retail wine sales are convenient at our Italian Market. Try our convenient curbside service!

This was our 4th year with Papa Joe’s for the Thanksgiving dinner! Each year we have requested to sit in the bar area and have had Lori help us. Always a pleasure to visit and have an excellent meal. Many thanks is from Jason and Jesse

We were very disappointed in our Thanksgiving Day visit to Papa Joe’s. Our turkey dinners reminded me of food served in my old high school school cafeteria. - cold bean appetizer (I use Nick Anthe’s original recipe, which is splendid. Papa Joe’s version was too heavy on sweet pickle flavor, and the kidney beans had a gritty texture. How do canned beans have a gritty texture? Was the salad frozen then thawed?) - processed turkey - processed mashed potatoes - stuffing was “gluey” but did have a nice flavor - overcooked, mushy green beans (Given the quality of our meals, we decided to skip dessert.) To be fair: The white French dressing, redolent of garlic and pepper, was wonderful. The service was excellent. Papa Joe’s has a longstanding reputation as a place to get a good dinner. It completely missed the boat on Thanksgiving. We will not go there for Thanksgiving again.

Mike was wonderful, but you need people helping and running food out. We sat for 30 minutes waiting for refill of drinks. We had to keep stopping him for desert, drinks, and check. Felt he was overwhelmed and needed help. We were sat next to family with children screaming and constantly hitting our booth back. Not a very good experience, especially on Thanksgiving. Mike was setup to fail with no help. Manager should come out check on tables, do refills, make sure tables are good. One server can’t handle 8 tables at once. It’s a shame we were really looking forward to this dinner.

It was very disappointing as usually the food and overall experience is very good. We were in a back room that was so cold my 93 year old dad ended up with a sore back and my toes were frozen in boots. The turkey dinner seems like something u would get in a buffet. Turkey was salty and didn’t seem like it was Marting more than lunchroom food. The brownie Sunday had salt on it. Not good.
