We visited on Valentine’s Day, so we expected it to be busy, but we were just happy to be out. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively in the bar area while surprisingly quiet in the dining section, despite the number of guests. The only downside was a 45-minute delay from our reservation time, but given the occasion, it was understandable. We passed the time in the bar, enjoying a drink and chatting with other guests. We’re big fans of Pappas and will definitely continue dining there!

Restaurant decor is very outdated. The todays are to close together and the service staff is very rude. The manager is selective in who he greets and a lot of confusion and giving incorrect bills to tables.

Front of the House - Improving. When staffed with one person - more likely to have a welcome and conversation exchange. When staffed with two (2) likely to have mobile telephone distractions. Front of the House process is key element to Guest experience. Meal - Maryland crab soup - seasoned and tasty. Shrimp and mussel special. Tasty. Nice option. Shrimp tails should be removed prior to preparing the meal. Challenges and potentially messy operation to remove the tails at the dinner table. Wait Staff - Monica - helpful; menu knowledgeable; positive recommendations; and Special aware. Circulating Staff - Other Wait Staff supporting drink refills - Teamwork. Food expeditors - polite and solid interactions.

Front of the House - Helpful; attentive; and engaging. Pleasant conversation while walking to the table. Provided table options. Wait Staff - Monica - bar side. Attentive; engaging; menu knowledgeable; and helpful. Suggested alternative side dishes. Positive reflection of the Pappas brand. Bar Side Staff - Very friendly when walking by your table. Simple conversation of Hello or do you require anything - makes the guest (me) feel appreciated. They are not my actual server - they are supporting the Team and making the dining experience better. Last week it was the positive vibe from the food expeditors and table cleaners - nice to experience the Team work and people smiling. Meal - Solid and basic. Maryland Crab Soup - seasoned and tasty. Mini crab cakes - right in the wheel house. Recommended meal - satisfying and does not utilize “filler” materials. Quality crab meat. Will order again - great lunch time meal. Keep it up!

Wait Staff - Monica - experienced; menu knowledgeable; helpful; engaging; and makes positive menu suggestions. Meal - Maryland crab soup - bowl - tasty and Crab cake. Both in the wheel house. Would order again. A solid lunch time meal. Great for business meetings - easy to eat and provides time to discuss the deal or opportunity without having a messy sandwich. Front of the House - Best with one Team Member. Two (2) Team Members provide the chance that the Customer is not greeted or on the way out encouraged to return. Team Members working on the telephones or speaking to each other does not develop business. Speaking with the guest is your focus and having them know your appreciate their business - results in more business. Front of the House is a key source for repeat business. Table cleaners and food expeditors - Solid part of the Team. Effective; efficient; and good communication. When they ask if you require plates to be removed; and if you require something “else”- this guest “touch” establishes interest in you the guest - makes you want to come back.

I recently visited Pappas for my birthday dinner. The food and staff were amazing. All 10 people of my party was seated without an issue. I loved the ambiance and white table cloths. Def recommend this restaurant.

Dining Room side. Wait Staff - Monica - menu knowledgeable - solid recommendations - finding the appropriate meal selections. Meal - Crab and fish special. Presentation - good. Portion - appropriately sized. Sauce - too much - overpowered the wonderful amount of lump crab meat and the halibut. Less sauce or a portion of which is on the side for those that want the crab meat and fish covered in sauce. Front of the House - improving. Still too much discussion between staff and not on Customer Service. This evening while leaving the Staff member commented to have a good evening; thank you for coming; and hoped I would return - truly an improvement and recognized improvement.

Wait Staff - Monica - pleasant; helpful; attentive; and menu knowledgeable. Meal - Turkey platter. Tasty and filling. Gravy on the side. Dressing was a little dry. Portions were size properly. Overall a solid lunch.
