The Parkside Rotisserie and Bar is a Manhattan-style bistro centrally located in the heart of Rhode Island"s capital city, Providence. One of the best restaurants in Providence since 1994. Serving lunch and dinner daily, the Parkside is surely a fantastic choice anytime. The Parkside offers a wide array of upbeat foods ranging from spicy crab cakes to grilled tenderloin and portobello salad. There are also several innovative pasta dishes as well as the Parkside's signature rotisserie meat items and daily specials. I took my friend there for her birthday. I hadn't been there in a few years and I have always loved the Parkside. While the food was delicious, our server Derek was just okay. He made us feel rushed by asking us three times if we knew what we wanted to drink (once the minute we sat down). I told him that we were not in a rush and seeing there were only a few tables that had people at it, we knew we weren't taking up a table for people who were waiting as there were no people waiting. Derek never told us the specials (the only way I knew there were specials being offered is because he recited them to a table that was a few feet away). I had the filet salad and it was done perfectly. The steak was delicious and tender and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. My friend had the pork chop and said it was amazing. When she ordered the pork chop Derek never asked what she wanted for sides even though the menu said it came with two sides. When I brought this to his attention he said it came with brussel sprouts. My friend had to ask for something different as she did not want them. I would have given the restaurant a higher rating if we had better service. But if you are going for the food and don't care about the service, then I highly recommend it.

This was our first time at Parkside! Everything exceeded our expectations with amazing staff, delicious cocktails, exquisite charcuterie cheese board, sumptuous, perfectly cooked steaks and decadent dessert! We highly recommend…and we will be back!

Very disappointed. They’ve lost their fast ball. Parkside was a staple in Providence and tonight’s experience was subpar from start to finish. They’ve obviously lost their tenured staff and it shows.

Absolutely love Parkside. It’s charming. Staff is so accommodating. Food is delicious. If I didn’t know better. I’d think we’re in Paris!

A tale of two cities. This was a first time visit to the Parkside Rotisserie. The good: The Black Friday and Peg cocktails were delicious - and a nod to the Steely Dan theme. The salad Lyonnaise was extremely tasty and enjoyable. The bad: my wife and I both ordered steaks. Her steak frites was cooked properly, but was an extremely tough cut. I ordered the steak au poivre medium rare. The first order came out medium well and I was reluctant to send it back, but our server could plainly see that it was way overdone and insisted upon it. The re-made version came out cooked properly, however, it was one of the toughest pieces of sirloin I've had in a while. A second critique of my entree is that is was billed as "homemade tater tots". Not sure if it was just me, but it was hard to discern if these were actually homemade or just frozen and fried. The restaurant has some overall positives and a nice atmosphere, but generally when you pay over $50 for a steak - you expect something decent. It wouldn't recommend the steak here.
