We tried the Arts District location for novelty and we loved it! The location is awesome and the space is a perfect match for the food and vibe they are going for here. The food was awesome, even though they messed up our order several times. They were very gracious about it and all was fine on that front. We went with a group and we were all really looking forward to catching up. Unfortunately, while the music was a lot of fun, as they kept increasing the volume it was so insanely loud (or the acoustics were so insanely terrible) that we literally had to stop talking at one point and we just sat nodding and smiling at each other the rest of the night. I know that the idea is to make the scene "vibrant", but I will never go back here because it's not fun to have to yell at your friends just to be heard. It's a restaurant, not a club (I think). I thought maybe we were acting like the "old table" in the place, but looking around, everyone was kind of suffering.

Petty Cash was a fun experience but I have to say- it's disappointing to make a reservation early in the week and then be relegated to a high-top bar table. Even if you're only part of a two-top it kind of puts a damper on the beginning of service for me. With that sad, the tacos and drink menu are delicious and our service was very good and attentive without being overly fussy.

The margaritas are delicious. There were 12 of us and we shared dishes, so we all got to try a number of things. It was all yummy! They served us quickly and kept the food coming. I have already recommended the restaurant to a number of people. I'll definitely be going back!

We had every taco on the menu... soooo delicious and savory. The restaurant is beautiful w/ quirky frames of Johnny Cash adorning its walls. I'm so happy Petty Cash now resides in this old Heinz Bldg in the outskirts of the Arts District. We will definitely be back for more... oh, and did I mention their dope cocktails and first-class service? Outstanding overall!!

Cauliflower nachos are the bomb. Craving right now. Great guac, margos, & into all the Taco's I tried. Fish & mushroom. My friend had the potato & said it was great!

Love the area. Easy to park so far. I have a feel for the building, super cool space. Portions are good. My fav Mex in DTLA. Order smart. Portions are good, keeps the cost reasonable

Amazing tequila and mezcal selection. best margaritas in Los Angeles ! i had the mezcal margarita that was smooth , with light hint of smoke . this margarita has me coming back next week ! looking forward to participating in thei tequila class . food, beverage , and service .... five stars all around !

Large parties are never easy. Our party of 12 did our best to enjoy our Saturday night birthday dinner party. They gave us 2 tables that did not connect, up on the second floor. It felt like we were at 2 different dinners. Or waiter looked miserable the whole time! Didn't smile or even say happy birthday! We did a lot of shouting as it was a special event night with a Dj. Which made for a fun atmosphere but not great for conversation. In spite of this, the food was delicious. It was our savior! We had one of everything on the menu. Not a bad bite was had. I really wish they lowered their tacos prices!
