General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. Income here because for not much more money than most other places you get amazing attitude-less service and impeccable quality standards. That said, $30 for a plate of Eggs Benedict might include a more generous amount of potaotes and perhaps even include a small side salad of frisée with sauted lardon and melted Gruyère on baguette. Just sayin.

Stock is consistently good. Staff are exceptional, well mannered and cool people. The food is always on point-delicious and fresh. Great cocktails and drinks on the menu.

Service was awesome, took care of all my allergies easily. Lovely place for a meal. Nice for an occasion. Left wanting to form back in the summer when their patio opens. Their happy hour looks sweet too.
