Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. The front room / bar area is more casual and social, yet still offers tables with linens and the full menu. The solid wood bar is a favorite dining spot for many of the regulars and locals. Where our table was it was too close to the table next to ours. We couldn’t even carry on a conversation with our friends it was so noisy from the table next to ours. You should not have tables so close to one another.

Good selection of beer. Overall good pub food. Nothing crazy. It started to get noisy when some of the local fans came in to watch a game. Good spot. Would return.

Fifteen of us were warmly welcomed for lunch at two tables. With a vast menu, the gluten-free person and the vegetarian at our table were satisfied. The food was brought quickly and overall was very flavorful. I enjoyed the fish with veggies. The salt & pepper tofu was crispier than I’ve had but tasty. Overall, everyone enjoyed the afternoon.
