Bright and airy, with a vintage retro style and featuring distressed wooden tables topped in white marble, salvage greenhouse window frames and comfy linen banquettes, Salt continues Avoca’s emphasis on serving delicious, seasonal dishes with largely locally sourced ingredients. Salt's name comes its Salthill locale - which itself was derived from salt works that were once here - plus the nearby sea and, of course, the seasoning.     Fantastic, went before about a year ago.. was brilliant that time. Didn't think it could be on par again. Not only was it as good, it was magnificent. From the small aperitif at the beginning and the mid sorbets, the food was michelin star if even a higher level than that! They cooked my steak to perfection. To wrap it all off I had the basque burnt cheesecake. Probably the greatest dish ever produced outside the san Sebastian region. All in all a gem of a place.

    Amazing service and delicious food. Hard to stand out with so many steak restaurants in Dublin, but the service and particularly our server stands out head and shoulders above the rest. Don't get me wrong the food was spectacular, especially the sides.

    Arrived to Parilla to be met by a very rude front of house girl who told us we were late!! Our booking was 8.30 and we arrived at 8.39. She needs to learn some manners. Every other member of staff was really nice. Service was good and we enjoyed the food but first impressions poor.
