Our Spanish wine distributor spends his time traveling the Spanish countryside, sourcing hard to find wines from small, mom-and-pop wineries.     At breakfast I had the best congee I ever had in the United States at San Laurel. The ingredients were spectacular. Home made dried pork hash was made from jamon iberico and their XO sauce was also homemade by the chef. I shall order congee for breakfast every time I stay at Conrad Downtown LA.

    We enjoyed an evening where the head chef had brought in additional colleagues to give us a unique, gustatorially wonderful, and fun dining experience. The synergy amongst the chefs created a balance of cocktails, wine pairings, hors d'oeuvres, and tapas that kept us impressed and happy the whole evening.
