Just chose the OLD BLACK BULL from reviews, mainly for a Sunday ride out, very good food and staff very helpful, would recommend, worth a trip.

we arrived it was very busy so had to wait not for long to be shown to our table a lovely welcome our drinks order was taken promptly Even though it was busy our food order was taken quickly It was a new menu so think thats why it was busy had had to wait a while for our food but pleasant surroundings so no problem was worth the wait i had the lamb it just melted in the mouth lovely fresh veg it was delicious my sister had the salmon and said it was delicious the flavours adn the salmon cooked perfect and the pasta very tasty

Lovely pub, very friendly welcome and service. Food delicious especially the pies!

Lovely Sunday roast in York. Very cozy pub with lots of history and haunting. Great staff and good food and drinks.
