Chef Clare Smyth’s first restaurant, Core by Clare Smyth, opened its doors August 2017.Located in London’s Notting Hill at 92 Kensington Park Road, Core by Clare Smyth is a modern fine dining restaurant with a strong British ethos, in an elegant, relaxed interior.
Serving contemporary French food, this much-loved independent restaurant has been going strong for over 22 years. Before booking, please note the restaurant has both downstairs and upstairs. The same menu options are available on both floors. There is no lift upstairs. Re Tasting Menu Timings: At lunch you must book before 1.45pm, and at dinner before 8.45pm. Tasting menus are not available outside of these times.If you cannot find a table, please contact the restaurant team direct as not all tables are available to book online. La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Expect wild noisette venison, Wiltshire truffles (thanks to our house truffle dog Alba!), rare woodland mushrooms, and much wonderful produce from our small organic farm in Kent.The wine list is sourced entirely from independent producers, and regularly updated with a specialised focus on low intervention, natural and biodynamic wines.We are across the road to the Design Museum & Holland Park, a 10 minute walk from Kensington Olympia and a short distance to the Royal Albert Hall.
