I took my boys for an overnight getaway to celebrate my older son turning 13. We are so glad we chose Jarana for our celebration dinner. The food was amazing, ambience the right mix of festive and classy, staff very attentive/helpful - topped off with a surprise birthday song (playing cajon) & treat! What a pleasant surprise! This is a small unassuming store front that is an absolute treasure. The menu is broad enough to accommodate any diner and really delicious! The hostess is the server and bus person. I had the oxtail entree and it was tender with a wonderful sauce, rice and beans. Skip the beans, put the rice in the sauce and love it! The calamari appetizer was tender and spicy. The guava dulce con Leche was very sweet. Portions were ample and the price was fair. I'll be back!!

This was my second time there. This visit was not as enjoyable as last time. There was a larger party that was very loud. They allowed them ti play a ring toss game. It’s a small restaurant & do nothing it was an appropriate. Some of the food in our party wasn’t hot. The food is tasty & service is good
