Thai Terre is located opposite the village green in the picturesque South Downs village of East Dean, close to Birling Gap and three miles west of Eastbourne. Believed to date back to the 17th century the Horse & Groom was originally used to house local farmer workers, with the increase in horse drawn traffic using the old Hastings Road the property was utilised to offer weary travellers a place to rest and stable their horse ready for their onward journey.
