Tex-Mex cuisine began in the Rio Grande Valley before migrating up to San Antonio during the l860's where a group of women known as The Chili Queens' began to pop up in the city's plazas selling chili con carne with tamales, enchiladas, and chili verde. as usual the meal was fantastic!! I had out of town guest that I entertained at Communion and even they loved their food. I am plant-based and was able to find something on the menu.

Great dips for appetizers, very average entree salads, cocktail was not good (had a $17 old fashioned that was so sweet I couldn't finish it), service was average. Prices were very high for what it was, we chose it mostly because it was close to the Paramount theater. Would go back for appetizers probably wouldn't do dinner again.

The service was EXCEPTIONAL. The staffing going above and beyond for a birthday at our table. The food was delicious, especially the Benedict's. Access directly off of 5 in the Renaissance with comped underground parking or valet. Will definitely return.
