The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery. The idea is to provide Londoners with a really relaxed venue for eating the finest British produce, cooked amazingly well, accompanied by excellent beer and wine at a great price.

The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! A really nice birthday lunch for a friend. Cajun chicken ciabatta, beautiful! Staff were lovely and not too pushy. All in all, love coming here for lunch. Big carpark too!

I love this place. Food good, mostly. But this time the dessert was not quite as hoped with a great deal of ersatz chocolate sauce on profiteroles that were supposed to be caramel, which was disappointing, but the burger and fish finger sandwich were excellent. The service was slow because of a very loud large group next to us who took priority. But we weren’t in a rush luckily. I’m looking forward to the lobster roll being back on as indicated on the website menu, but I always seem to go when it’s not ‘in season’ I am told.
