We received a Good Food Award Gold Seal in 2021.The Cross is housed in a Grade II listed 19th-century inn and has been sympathetically restored to retain its heritage alongside contemporary touches that make it a fabulous place to enjoy great food, a casual atmosphere and informal but attentive service.Our main dining room is a former school room that leads to a cosy and welcoming bar - previously a butcher's shop.Another dining room overlooks the pass, where guests can glimpse the team of chefs busily at work.We have a green and spacious pub garden, perfect for aperitifs, cocktails and post-dinner drinks.

It is more than likely that William Shakespeare purchased his wine from here!
