Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times. I arrived and sat at the bar initially. I was told my table is being prepared. I was alone and the restaurant was more than half empty, yet I was made to wait 30 minutes before I prompted them to seat me. I felt this was poor. Once I sat at the table everything was fine but I was alone as I mentioned , had one cocktail while I was waiting (good ploy) and a carafe of wine but found it ridiculously expensive to be honest…£192.00 for one person.
