The Kings Arms lies deep in the heart of the East Devon countryside. In the heart of the East Devon countryside, surrounded by acres of farmland, you'll find the award-winning Greendale Farm Shop and it's family-friendly café & restaurant. The Greendale Farm Shop Café and Restaurant is much loved by visitors and locals alike. We offer a new extensive menu, created around many of the items sold in our shop and showcasing local produce from our farm and fishing boats. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are no problem and we have a children's menu for the little ones, too. We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as tea and coffee, delicious cakes and Devon cream teas.Once you've eaten why not take a stroll along our family farm trail. We’re not supposed to be biased, but is there anywhere in the UK more beautiful than Devon? We think not (sorry not sorry). With cathedrals, canals and our very own Bill’s right at the heart (with a sunny outdoor seating area we might add), this place is a feast for the eyes and our food a feast for the belly *chef’s kiss*.

From start to finish going to Stage is a wonderful experience. The ambience is casual, intimate but not stifled. Grace is a fabulous staff member who is warm and enthusiastic about the menu. The food was again totally delicious- we have never eaten the same dish twice. The presentation is always thoughtful but unfussy. I particularly enjoyed the celeriac dish that kicked off a beautiful stream of dishes. The chef serves along with the other waiting staff and seems genuinely interested in diners food experience. He is so talented. We love this restaurant- it is the best dining experience in Exeter and is incredibly good value for money. We have already booked our next visit.

Visited a number of times and always found it a pleasant experience. Today it was crowded, so a little noisy, but you can’t blame the restaurant for that. All-in-all, highly recommended.

Excellent Sunday roast with the family. Good beef perfectly cooked, and excellent service and very good value. We used to come regularly in the middle of winter for Sunday roasts. £2.0o a head in those days but it was 45 years ago!! Set menu Beef/ pork/lamb, rotated each week, and jugs of beer on the table!
