'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe,has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to theThames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toastspread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered themagain when we returned for Sunday lunch. The Swan in Chiswick dates back to 1871 but we are positively new occupants having only arrived in 2002.We strive to keep the pub very much a pub while offering a Mediterranean-inspired menu that’s won many followers over the years.We have a cosy fire for the winter and a wonderful garden for the summer – it truly feels like a hidden gem and well worth a visit.Hopefully you can find everything you need to know here on the website but we’d much rather welcome you in person! Harvey, our waiter was very attentive and showed an interest in the menu choices too making the selection process much easier for all. The setting of the restaurant is fabulous and overall it was such a pleasant lunch. I will be coming back again soon maybe even before Xmas if I can get in. Thanks again.

The food is amazing and yum. I loved the Tandoori Phool. However, this time I did not have a pleasant experience with the staff. The lady who greeted us at the top was great and was courteous. Later there was a man who came in and started commenting on how long we were there; made small talk and joked about that they have a vacancy to wash dishes etc. If we are paying for the food and service, I don’t think the waiter had any rights to comment on how long we choose to spend there or make such remarks/jokes. Highly unprofessional. We always come to Chatora and take out as well. We had a lot of food and wine but this experience will make me rethink my visit.
