We pride in producing the finest burgers using local ingredients. Check out Flipside Labs, where our burger nerds try something different and interesting.Aside from burgers, we have a great wines and all our cocktails are made fresh (none of this pre-made mix nonsense). THE WOODSMAN IS A TRULY BRITISH RESTAURANTWe use the best British ingredients, all sourced as sustainably as possible.We love using Wild food, and harvest much of it ourselves. All the meat on our menus is “nose to tail” so the menu is ever changing, and we waste nothing. We even employ our own head ranger to keep the deer herds on the land we manage under control, and have our own deer larder in the Cotswolds where this amazing product is processed.Our fish comes from day boats in Cornwall.We work with the seasons, ensuring the very best truly local veg is with us the day after its picked. Our food is cooked over wood from local plantations, and charcoal coppiced less than 20 miles away.We know the story of everything on the menu.Our lovely staff are extremely well informed, so, do ask questions on anything you’re not sure of.We hope you love this restaurant as much as we do and keep coming back.

The Horse and Groom Inn aims to provide great food and drink in a quintessential, traditional 16th century country inn. Dining is relaxed and informal in a friendly atmosphere. We stock a wide choice of wines by the glass, cask conditioned ales, lagers and ciders. Our guests can enjoy dining in our cosy bar or restaurant areas. We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads. We are open for our full a la carte restaurant service from Monday to Saturday each week with tables from 18:00 until 20:30. We are closed for dinner on Sunday, but the bar is open. We offer lunches daily and our wonderful Sunday lunch has tables from 12:00 until 16:00. Lovely festive, cosy atmosphere with fairy lights, candles and an open fire. Excellent food and drinks. Only small quibble was that our pigs in blankets looked a bit anaemic (I prefer a well done sausage!)

Absolutely fabulous from when you walk through the door to when you leave after having enjoyed great food, in a warm setting where the background noise is just right to ensure you can still enjoy a lively conversation with friends. We had a warm welcome, were seated promptly with a menu so delicious we committed to go back for more! Our waitress was super friendly and helpful and continued throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was great as always with portion size just right and at the end of the evening the bill was extremely good value for money.

Drinks service was a little slow but didn’t stop us having a lovely evening. The food was tasty and portion sizes were good. The price for the lamb special for 2 was a tad high at £85.

The waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. The burgers were good size, very flavorful and juicy. The coleslaw I got with mine was excellent. Best burger I have had in quite a while. We were very happy and highly recommend this restaurant.
