The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow. Here we serve our trademark delicious home produced quality food and excellent home brewed ales. Your hosts Mike & Julie and their superb team bring a wealth of experience in the trade and have sourced the best in the local area to tempt you.

Was recommended to try it & so glad we did ,the carpark was busy so that speaks volumes, we were shown to our table & handed the menus ,everything on them you could wish for we chose the ho ho ho spring roll ,delicious, i had the gammon & my wife yhe scampi ,bit boring perhaps ,but bloody good , for puds we shared the meringue with fruits & the sundae extravaganza very nice ,overall couldn't fault it & will definitely recommend & will definitely will go again

Staff are excellent. The roast dinner was excellent, the beef just melted in the mouth and the veg and roast potato’s wer wonderful. Definitely coming back. Thanks
