The Duke of Wellington Inn is nestled in the tranquil Tyne valley village of Newton just off the A69 near Corbridge, within easy access to Newcastle, Hadrian"s Wall Country, Hexham and Northumberland's National Park. The décor reflects the traditional country inns history but with a modern twist. Existing oak and stone has been enhanced with modern colours, furniture and fabrics, and the theme extends to the bedrooms.Lunches and dinners are served seven days a week in the bar and dining room. We were given a lunch voucher for a present and we really enjoyed our visit. All three courses that we chose were delicious and the meal came with 2 glasses of fizzy. The restaurant has an interesting history and had a pleasant atmosphere.

Gorgeous Sunday dinner we both had the lamb dinner lovely and tender gravy you could drink haha We had the cheese board and a sticky toffee sundae beautiful. It was quite even though there was children in which was a nice change, staff were friendly we will be back again SOON thank you

Thank you so much for our stay with you, we had an amazing time. Andrea’s birthday was made so much more special with the upgrade to our room and the amazing dining experience we had on her birthday. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere in the restaurant was amazing.
