Portland opened in 2015 and received a Michelin star the same year - which we have retained to this day. We try to offer the best contemporary example of fine dining in London – the finest produce we can find cooked with precision and a high level of technique led by our executive chef Stuart Andrew and head chef Chris Bassett and his team.

We offer a la carte and also a Tasting Menu at lunch and dinner.

Wine is as important as food and service at Portland. Our main wine list aims to offer brilliant value on interesting, different wines which we hope you seldom see on restaurant wine lists. Our Single Bottle List contains bins of some of the world’s finest wines and also more accessible offerings from our favourite producers.

Apart from the main restaurant, we hope that our private room and its offer of secluded and separate dining is just the thing for special family events or business meetings.

Amazing food and wine. Great knowledge from the staff and their joy from working. Super friendly and good interactions with the guests. A place to remember and revisit.

The food is top notch, one of the very best places in London, with a great wine list. Service is effortlessly good. The space is simply decorated and arranged but it works well. The noise level was a bit too much for 60+ ears half way through the evening although staff said lunch is quieter so I may take them up on that. In any event a place worth visiting again!

Can’t fault this. Food was outstanding - fresh, unfussy, delicious. Friendly service and a lovely buzzy atmosphere. Great wine list. Perfect spot for lunch on a stormy day

The restaurant is deservedly full every time I come here. The food is excellent, interesting menu and plenty of fun nibbles on top. Good wine list complements the offering, and it’s a sign of the quality offered that everyone has a glass of wine in front of them at lunch time.
