Portland opened in 2015 and received a Michelin star the same year - which we have retained to this day. We try to offer the best contemporary example of fine dining in London – the finest produce we can find cooked with precision and a high level of technique led by our executive chef Stuart Andrew and head chef Chris Bassett and his team.

We offer a la carte and also a Tasting Menu at lunch and dinner.

Wine is as important as food and service at Portland. Our main wine list aims to offer brilliant value on interesting, different wines which we hope you seldom see on restaurant wine lists. Our Single Bottle List contains bins of some of the world’s finest wines and also more accessible offerings from our favourite producers.

Apart from the main restaurant, we hope that our private room and its offer of secluded and separate dining is just the thing for special family events or business meetings.

Always amazing service at Woodhead restaurant. Portland 10 tasting menu was unreal, with all the fancy extras - Bread, butter and hollandaise is now an essential part of my diet.

What a fabulous restaurant. Amazing food. Great staff. Relaxed ambience. And incredible value. Had the 10th anniversary tasting menu which was an absolute steal. We will be back.

Superb dinner, with excellent service as always - went for the 10 year Anniversary Tasting Menu, which is the best value fine dining you are likely to find anywhere in 2025.

Amazing food and attentive service at the Portland, and you can see why they were awarded a Michelin star. We have been a few times before and the food and the presentation are consistently interesting and impressive.

Fantastic experience. Came for my wife's 60th birthday. Staff were lovely throughout just the right level of attentive. Food was glorious. Great value for a restaurant this good.

A great start to 2025 with a visit to Portland Restaurant. Some great new additions to the menu across all courses. The baked cheesecake is the best cheesecake I ever tasted - anywhere. If for no other reason, you have got to visit just for this.

Portland is perfect. Service: Gabor was excellent, thoughtful and entertaining - thank you. It made our experience Food: The lunch menu was delicious. Full of flavour, textures and variety. Every dish was wonderful but the dish that actually blew me away was the complimentary tomato consommé to welcome us. Ambience: Beautiful open kitchen, calm, elegant, a popular place Overall: a must try. I would absolutely return to try other things on the menu, and so others can experience this wonderful place.
