    We opted to try Proof On Main to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary during our annual visit to Louisville. Routinely, we had our anniversary dinner at Swizzle. However, when we were unsuccessfully at securing a reservation at Swizzle, our search for an alternate led us to Proof on Main-we are glad we did! Not only were we able to get a last minute reservation on X-mas eve, but it wasn't packed, adding to the intimate ambience we were hoping to experience. Our waiter, was not only knowledgeable, but he was verry attentive and detailed with his recommendations; which were spot-on. I cannot remember the last time I savored every bit of my meal.

    The food quality, plating, and presentation has all plummeted in recent months. What was once the bastion of the Louisville dining scene is now just a meh restaurant.

    Been a while since we've eaten here. Still satisfying. Great food! I don't say "great" lightly. Everything was delicious from the kale salad with buttermilk vinaigrette, the beef carpaccio, the charred beet toast with buttermilk ricotta and horseradish, and our mussels and petit filet. Interesting cocktails. Highly recommended!

    Unlike previous times, today my experience was not good and almost embarrassing in front of my invitees. Tuna was bad tasting and overcooked. It took a while hour to get the soup and the sandwich with the soup literally COLD. I must say today was a bad one.

    Had a late reservation due to flight delays, so fairly quiet in the restaurant. Food was delicious: really enjoyed the crudo and the risotto! Our server was excellent! Great recommendations on wine and food and very engaging! Highly recommend this place!
