Housed in five historic buildings in downtown Louisville, Proof on Main is part of 21c Museum Hotels, the award-winning boutique hotel and restaurant group. The menu works to showcase the agricultural bounty of the Ohio River Valley and celebrates artisanal products and sustainable farming, delivering plates rich with the culinary traditions of Italy and the American South.

Private dining is available for groups 10-150. The private room in Proof on Main can accommodate up to 24 and our art gallery space within the 21c Museum Hotel can seat 150 and host a reception for up to 300.

Join Proof on Main for Thanksgiving Dinner. We are hosting our annual dinner from 1pm-7pm on Thanksgiving Day. Dinner will include family style bread basket, salad, and dessert with each guest choosing their own entree's with choice of Turkey or Ham and all the traditional sides. What a menu! Make sure to start with the amuse bouche, the mini arancini was perfect. The mushrooms appetizer is unlike any I've had; warm, cold, crispy, umami, tangy, creamy. The trout was warm and briney but offset by a beautiful char on the skin. Fantastic dining experience, exceptional vibes. Can't wait to come back next time I'm in Lousiville.

Great food and service! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was conveniently located, walking distance from our hotel on Main Street in downtown Louisville.

Food came out way too quickly and everything was very salty / over seasoned. Bar was backed up so cocktails didn’t arrive till after we finished our apps. $65 steak was pricey considering the size. Overall, Maybe it was an off night. Otherwise fail to see what makes this place special. Staff was nice however.

Overall a nice place for dinner. Server was helpful, food took a minute to come out, but gave us time to chat. If in a hurry not your place.

Outstanding food, ambience & service! It is obvious how well the staff is trained because they are really enthusiastic about the cocktails and their menu! The decor is really fun & there’s a museum to tour. Louisville has a good food scene and Proof on Main makes it better!

Excellent service and the charred octopus was on point. We also enjoyed the rock shrimp dish with a side of the broccoli - best surprise! It had the most incredible sauce and parm crisps!!!!
