It was Christmas Eve and what could be better than dining at the Publick House? Nothing! We were greeted warmly by the hostess and other staff members. The Christmas lights twinkled and the poinsettias gleamed as we walked through the beautifully decorated halls to our table. The bread basket was filled with corn bread and the delicious pecan rolls! The menu was diverse offering some specials for the evening. Turkey Dinner, Chicken Pot Pie and Prime Rib dinners all fantastic! Desserts yummy too! If you have a special event this is the place to go. Even for a lovely evening out any time of the year including lunch...you will not be disappointed!

Everything was outstanding! We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and were seated immediately. Our server Myron took our drink order and brought us a basket of rolls before taking our orders. Our meals were well prepared and arrived in an appropriate amount of time. Myron was friendly, professional and checked on us, as well as the tables around us, frequently. Myron is a credit to your wait staff. Thank you!

The Publick House is a very unique tavern/restaurant to dine in. However, we felt that the food could have been better and it was a little pricey for what you got. Now, don't get me wrong, the food was not bad, it was just not great. We traveled over an hour to dine there. It was a fun place to have dinner but it was not worth the ride.

Excellent open faced turkey sandwich and beautifully decorated for the holidays. We go every every year for our anniversary and never disappointed.

The atmosphere was charming however the staff was not attentive (had to return glass with chip using different server, waitress never came back to check on food - pot roast was very chewy but scallops were excellent). Recommend making a reservation.

I enjoyed the house steak special which was cooked perfectly and the port wine glaze was delicious. Mash potatoes excellent and asparagus tender crisp. My wife had the salmon over a bed of quinoa sautéed with kale, cherries and tomatoes. She enjoyed it. Service was excellent. Atmosphere quiet and relaxed.

Food was fine, service was not good at all…was ignored by our waitress while she served a larger party right next to us instead. Finally another waiter had to come in and check on us. Will definitely be taking a brake from the restaurant due to the service
