Executive Chef Domenic Tudda spent his childhood years learning of Italian cuisine while his family owned and operated Stromboli's restaurant in Calgary. He furthered his education by undergoing extensive culinary training in Italy and has been able to continue his parent's legacy of bringing unique and incredibly authentic Italian dining to Calgarians. One of the most revered of these ventures is Ristorante Pulcinella, where Domenic first earned distinction when his international training crossed borders and entered Calgary in the spring of 2006. One of the few APN (Associazione Pizzaioli Napolitani) certified pizzerias in the world, Domenic has been able to showcase his culinary skills, incredible wine knowledge, and passion for Italian cuisine to provide Calgary with a truly artistic, original and delicious experience not soon to be forgotten. Certainly not your classical North American pizza, it's definitely different, but definitely delicious.

                              With tomato sauce. All of our pizzas include fresh basil (except tartufo) and are topped with our own extra virgin olive oil. Our mozzarella is fior di latte. We use parmigiano reggiano and only the finest cured meats and cheeses imported from Italy. Gluten free pizza: add $3; buffalo mozzarella can be substituted on any of our pizzas: add $8. The True Napoletana Tradition. Long considered to be the premier pizza style in Italy, Neapolitan pizza is cooked in a high-temperature wood burning oven. The characteristic charring of the underside of the crust is the result of this traditional baking process and adds to the distinct flavour of our finished pizzas

                                                                                              I had the calamari appetizer, which was entree size, and very good. My two companions shared a kale salad and a gluten-free pizza, which they had to cut themselves. This provided some entertainment as it almost slid off the tray but between us, we did manage. Julia was quite attentive, checking drinks and water often. Got some chocolate covered espresso beans at the market, and will try the osso bucco next time. There will definitely be a next time!

Highly recommend this restaurant. Great value excellent quality food, great variety of menu choices. Loved our wine choice!

                                                                                              Our server didn’t notice us at the beginning but the server next to us did, she could have did our server a favour and let her know we arrived. We were 15 mins early for our reservation. Service was amazing after that, she is great. Our appetizers were a bit soggy and warm not hot- we got the arancini and calamari. We’ve gotten them before and they are always amazing so not sure what happened last night. Our mains were 10/10, we got the cotto pizza and the carbonara pasta. No complaints, absolutely amazing. Drinks were also amazing and always full. Will always be back! Favourite place
