Executive Chef Domenic Tudda spent his childhood years learning of Italian cuisine while his family owned and operated Stromboli's restaurant in Calgary. He furthered his education by undergoing extensive culinary training in Italy and has been able to continue his parent's legacy of bringing unique and incredibly authentic Italian dining to Calgarians. One of the most revered of these ventures is Ristorante Pulcinella, where Domenic first earned distinction when his international training crossed borders and entered Calgary in the spring of 2006. One of the few APN (Associazione Pizzaioli Napolitani) certified pizzerias in the world, Domenic has been able to showcase his culinary skills, incredible wine knowledge, and passion for Italian cuisine to provide Calgary with a truly artistic, original and delicious experience not soon to be forgotten. Certainly not your classical North American pizza, it's definitely different, but definitely delicious.

We use parmigiano reggiano and only the finest cured meats and cheeses imported from Italy. Gluten free pizza: add $3; buffalo mozzarella can be substituted on any of our pizzas: add $8. The True Napoletana Tradition. Long considered to be the premier pizza style in Italy, Neapolitan pizza is cooked in a high-temperature wood burning oven. The characteristic charring of the underside of the crust is the result of this traditional baking process and adds to the distinct flavour of our finished pizzas

Such good italian, awesome place for valentine’s day! Only critic would be the bruschetta - I bit into mine and had a mouthful of flour from the outside of the bread so I just took the toppings off and ate those (which were delicious!) The pesto pasta was so good but we were stuffed so I took it home and it was the best midnight snack!

We really loved what we ordered: Caprese salad, Arancini, Veal Tortenelli and the Crudo (pizza with panceta). I had been coming to this place for personal and organization events and they had been consistently amazing. It was my gf's first time and she was impressed as well. Our server was excellent. She is the calm in a hectic surroundings (it was Valentine's when we were there). We always sat together so she moved all of the utensils on the opposite side for me.

Food had bad tastes arancini had a weird smell and taste / not sure why they had saffron rice in it lol not Italian Pasta quality and taste is low! They need to up to way higher it’s more western Italian then real Italian Service those was amazing!!!! Our waitress was so helpful

Excellent thin crust fire baked pizza with fresh ingredients. The antipasto classico is far too big for two people (a good thing!) with very tasty cheeses, meats and fresh chutney and greens.

We have wanted to eat here for some time so decided to have our anniversary dinner here. The environment was so classy looking and the staff were all so approachable and lovely. My partner had espresso martinis and he said it was one of the best he’s ever had. So creamy. So delicious. I had gin and ginger beer. Mixed to perfection. We started with the tempura parmigiana which was ok probably wouldn’t order again as it wasn’t mind blowing and did fill us up a bit. But worth the value as it wasn’t a larger portion than you get for an appy anywhere else. For our mains we got the salmon w/ broccoli risotto and the roast chicken. The portions were quite big and worth the value as they were ABSOLUTLEY delicious. Highly recommend! For dessert we had the no bake cheesecake and the tiramisu. My cheesecake was so light and fluffy and full of amazing flavour. My partner LOVES tiramisu and was so excited to get one as the waitress says it’s one of the best in town… and he said it was great but alas had too full a belly and couldn’t finish it. Guess we will just have to try again another time! We are so happy to have picked Pulcinella for our dinner date to celebrate our love.
