Enjoy the breathtaking waterfront views, sparkling starry night skies, and refreshing breezes of our outdoor balcony, or opt for indoor air-conditioned seating to beat the heat (which can be a must in North Queensland!).

Our restaurant's name, A Touch of Salt, is a play on our family name, Brine. In 2005, we started as a family business, and our family-style approach of offering genuine hospitality and meals designed for conversation has always been the heart of A Touch of Salt. Over the years, we have perfected our restaurant to become one of the best casual fine-dining restaurants in the North.

We take pride in being appreciated by the locals of Townsville as well as travellers from all over Australia.

                                                    Had an Anniversary luncheon at Touch of Salt = great choice for lunch menu, beautifully cooked as you would expect at this venue. Very attentive wait staff. Would recommend for any dining experience.

                                                    Everyone needs the amazing dining experience at A Touch Of Salt. Outstanding service by the Manager Mark, along with friendly and professional service from the wait staff. The experienced barman created our specially-requested drinks to perfection. Compliments to the chef/s for the delicious and beautifully presented meals and desserts. The food was served in good time. An enjoyable experience. Highly recommended. They also sell gift cards if you can’t decide on what to buy someone.

                                                    As usual Touch of Salt did not disappoint. Great food great cocktails and friendly staff. On another note my granddaughter is coeliac and we have never had a problem with cross contamination here and can recommend for gluten free dining. Our “go to”for fine dining .

                                                    Lovely lunch. Food and service was outstanding. The restaurant was just very noisy and terrible acoustics. It was hard to hold up a conversation with others at my table.
