Please note - standard tables are located in our main dining room and covered atrium room. High top tables are in our intimate, cozy wine bar towards the front of the restaurant. You can reserve the chef's counter as well. Walk-in reservations welcome.

A16 is a Michelin rated and James Beard Award Winning restaurant bringing the delicious and hospitable traditions of lively Campania to San Francisco. The chic, rustic/modernist venue is named after the motorway that transverses the South of Italy. Executive Chef Yosuke Machida carefully selects local, organic produce and meats to prepare a daily menu specializing in wood oven-fired Neapolitan pizza, braised meatballs, vibrant salads, pasta and local meats and seafood dishes. Owner Shelley Lindgren works closely with a well-versed, hospitable service team to bring one of the SF Bay Area's celebrated wine and food destinations.

Clarify your reservation is actually inside and not in the back outside covered patio with cold chairs and a heat lamp. We all felt like we had to wear our jackets the entire meal. Servers prioritized the inside. Service was absent most of our meal on the patio. When I asked about the reservation being inside they told me the outside plastic covering made it technically inside. I sent the rest of my review privately.

The service was very good . Our waiter was very attentive and made excellent recommendations. The appetizers we ordered were tasty and balanced in flavors. Unfortunately the main dish that we ordered was so salty. We ordered fish and orecchiette.

Always great for the atmosphere, fantastic pizza and friendly staff. Good choice for a lunch meeting. Each of the 3 in my party had their own great experience of A16.

always fun to sit at the bar.squid pasta was fabulous- i got mary's chicken because seemed to be a popular item on many menus- I have not eaten chicken in over 5 yrs- definitely better tasting than others- portion was very very large -good potatoes will be back for the fab pasta next time restaurant is really pretty everyone dining looked happy wonderful wine selection!!!
